How to Get Your Squeeze Page Done in 5 Minutes Or Less

Your squeeze page is the first point of contact with your visitor and you've given them two choices. Opt-in to your squeeze page and list or leave. That decision making process takes seconds and getting it right will leave you online business in a healthy state.

Remember, industry figures tout that a typical list subscriber is worth $1 per month. Sometimes less and sometimes more. Either way you spin it - building the biggest, baddest list in record time and growing it exponentially can only be a good thing.

Lets get cracking and put together a squeeze page in less than 5 minutes.

Pull them in with an exclusive pre-headline First work on a pre-headline, a headline that goes in smaller text above your headline. The idea is to have your visitors immediately recognize that what you have on offer is special. An exclusive for serious, dedicated or successful readers only. Exclusivity and scarcity are some of the biggest emotional triggers, we don't have long to capture their attention so highlighted pre-headline is the perfect start.

An eyeball grabbing headline If you've ever written an article, seen a advert or bill board stuck you'll appreciate the power of a strong headline. Think about the millions of newspapers that base their sales around some the juiciest front page headlines on the stands. This is massively important.

Your headline has to be benefit rich and ideally red. You can experiment with other colors, that said, in all my tests red won by a mile. There something alluring and sexy about red. It just grabs the eye. When it comes to benefits, be clear, try to use two or three and also add an element of specificity.

The specifics might be something like "in 24 hours" so the headline might read "How to double your income, half your workload and get more holidays every year by the end of the month". Here you have three benefits everybody wants and the specifics to ward of the cynics who might say it takes 50 years of hard graft.

Pepper them with bullets Your squeeze page must have some bullets under your headline. Three or four is perfect and to craft the perfect bullet point you should use a benefit with a touch of curiosity. Tell your visitors the benefit they will get but not the how.

Make it cliff hanger that draws them in and gets them desperate to know more. That's the formula - don't make it more complicated than that. Remember, three or four is perfect.

Finish them off with a call to action Lots of people ask "What is a call to action?" In the sales world you might say it's asking for the business, closing the sale or asking for the money. A strong call to action is simply telling the reader to quickly opt-in to your squeeze page immediately for access to whatever you are offering. Add powerful words to your call to action like instant or immediate. They tell the reader what to expect and sound great.

Time for your form Finally it's time for your opt-in form. This is the box your auto-responder company provides. If you can cut and paste you can put this form onto your squeeze page. Many providers allow you to change the text on your 'subscribe' button. This is a good idea, a final call to action and read "Get instant access now". A shorter, punchier few words than the previous call to action. When it comes to the form the less you ask for, the better the conversion. First name and email address is all you need to personalize an email then send it. Job done!

Tests on my own squeeze page (and everyone I've ever spoke to or listened to) all point towards making your opt-in form highly visible. Big red arrows are tacky, look ugly and work a treat. It's not an art competition, it's all about the results. Test them for yourself and see how you conversions grow as you draw your readers eye to the box and entice their details from them.

Finally - the key to success... Getting your squeeze page right comes second only to website traffic. Together, traffic and conversions are the lifeblood and key to a successful online business, career and healthy bank balance.
Your squeeze page or squeeze pages are the fastest way to rapidly grow your list, income and future prosperity.
